Biography
Zahra Salarnia is a VFX artist and educator currently working as a digital media lecturer at ATMC New Zealand.
She received her Bachelor with Honours in film and animation from The Multimedia University in 2009. Since then she has worked as a Senior Compositor and CGI Artist for TV commercials and film in multiple companies including BasecampVFX (Malaysia) and HUHU studios (New Zealand) where she was mainly responsible for look development, rendering, and compositing. She has been in the visual effect and animation industry for over a decade and has board experience in VFX post-production for film and animation.
Prior to joining ATMC NZ, she taught on a range of digital media programmes at Waikato institute of Technology (Wintec) and EDENZ Colleges.
When she’s not teaching at ATMC NZ she enjoys following the latest developments in the VFX industry and her passion for figure and portrait drawing.
