PROGRAMME AIM
The Bachelor of Applied Management targets learners wishing to manage and lead in global business contexts with an emphasis on the use of highly tuned people skills. Graduates will appeal to employers that require forward thinking people-focused and flexible problem solvers, who can lead, manage, and collaborate to create sustainable, financially viable and profitable outcomes, whilst considering the wider community and social needs.
Although the programme will enable the development of vocational skills, we recognise that vocational skills alone are insufficient in equipping students to live and work in New Zealand and global contexts. By integrating personal development (using humanities subjects), we equip the students with emotional intelligence that improves the application of vocational skills within their profession. Additionally, the graduates have opportunities to develop written and verbal communication skills and the abilities and awareness to work effectively in team environments.
To gain award of the degree all students will successfully complete:
- All compulsory courses
- 360 credits
- A minimum of 120 credits at Level 5
- A minimum of 150 credits at Level 6
- A minimum of 90 credits at level 7

English Requirements
- New Zealand certificate of English Language, Level 4 or equivalent.
- An IELTS Academic score of 6 overall with no band score lower than 5.5; OR
- TOEFL: PBT 550 (essay 5 TWE) or iBT 80 (writing 21); OR
- Cambridge Certificate in Advanced English.
